This commercial is airing all over for Macy's and it features a plethora of celebrities who are selling their products from clothing lines, shoes, home furnishings and more. Although I think its a great business ploy to get more business to Macys (before seeing it I had no idea half of these celebrities sold products here) it features Jessica Simpson once again "dumbing" herself down.

In the commercial she pretends she cant get a door open while carrying shoe boxes from her line. Until she calls Kenneth Cole, who presumably takes the role of the "hero" for her, he tells her "you have to pull it Jess."

Now I dont know about the rest of you, but if you were trying to sell your product, would you want the nation once again laughing at you? Once again dipping back into that image she had on MTV's Newlyweds which gave her a whole different reputation, and that was lacking street smarts.

I just thought by now, she would have escaped this stereotype for herself and showed us a real business woman.
