I Need Help With Breathing During Jogging
Dear Sugar,
I have recently (as in yesterday) taken up jogging and I have a huge problem with my breathing. I do not know if it is "in through your nose out through your mouth," or what! I am really out of shape and I want to make this new exercise as welcoming as I can so I do not get discouraged. I try hard to focus on my breathing so I am not thinking about how out of breath I am but then I get even more out of breath!
What are your tips for the most efficient jog?
Has anyone tried NV beauty supplement?
Nv is the weightloss pill endorsed by Carmen Electra...I was just watching tv and a girl was talking about how she was using the pill everyday and it made her hair and skin feel amazing...Im curious to know if any of you have tried it and what you thought.
20 year old female seeking motivation
Back in school and trying to get back in the swing of things as in trying to juggle my workout and diet schedule with my new school hours.
Im so unmotivated after last nights run considering I could barely do the same distance I could do about a week and a half ago. I was on vacation and only worked out about two times and I guess I lost my touch...I am just trying to WANT to workout like I did all summer which was pretty much everyday and I ate really healthy. Now that it's so hot I dont feel like jogging...even at 8 o clock. Ugh! Im so frustrated.
On another note...Heidi Montags new song is kind of amazing.....Even though I dont care for her or the fact that she has no talent....the song is overall fun.
Take care,
HJ
Some butt busting workouts
So I decided about 3 weeks ago to do the self challenge at selfmagazine.com. Its pretty great minus the fact that I have been completely lagging for about a week and half because I have been busy with finals for school! So I kind of need to rewind a week and start over hah...But heres a few work outs that I snagged from the site that really got my legs and butt aching the next day--although Im building a tolerance towards them so I guess I need to kick it up!
Get-up
Works butt, abs, legs
Kneel with hands on hips, toes tucked under. Bring left leg forward, knee bent, thigh parallel to ground (as shown). Push off ball of foot to stand up. Return to kneeling position. Switch legs; repeat for one rep. Do 10 reps. (Getting up was never so hard )
Stork lunge
Works legs, shoulders, arms, abs, butt
Stand on right leg with left knee bent, left thigh parallel to ground, foot touching just below knee, a dumbbell in each hand. Raise right arm overhead, palm in; put left fist at hip (as shown). Bend right knee and step left leg back into a lunge, bending arms in opposition to legs as if running. Return to knee-up position. Do 12 reps. Switch legs; repeat.
